We had a visit from a living legend today! Pat Jennings CBE. A Newry man who played for Spurs & Arsenal, & represented N. Ireland @ 2 World Cups. He won 2 FA Cups, 2 League Cups, Charity Shield & UEFA Cup. Proud to support @friendsofbigpat to have a statue of Pat erected in Newry

Lots of cuts to tax allowances for individuals:
Personal Allowance fixed until 2028 (a significant cut real terms), Dividend allowance being cut to £1k in 2023 & £500 in 2024, CGT Annual Exemption dropping to £6k then £3k in 2023 & 2024 respectively. #autumnstatement2022

Pensions Triple Lock is being honoured - £870 increase to the State Pension in April 2023. #AutumnStatement

Hunt has, noticeably, not increased any taxes. So rates of the main tax heads remain the same, but people will pay more tax via cuts to the allowances. #AutumnStatement

I think it was only a matter of time before reliefs on Electric Cars got tapered out. EV drivers to pay road tax from 2025 & the BIK rate to rise 1% a year for 3 years. EVs are still, to my mind, the only car worth having as a company car in tax terms #AutumnStatement
