UK coup resignations:
Blair - 7 ministers in 2006
Corbyn - 17 in 2016 coup & 10 quit the party in 2019
Johnson - 48 ministers over 5 days in 2022
Starmer - 4 ministers. Streeting's alleged 'coup' fizzled out.
Puts it in perspective.
I am a Labour party member and am not going to vote for Andy Burnham Wes StreetIng or anyone else. I am going to vote for PM Starmer because he won a landslide victory under two years ago & needs at least another two years to demonstrate economic and political success.
Do you think that if the people of the UK want to have any chance of one day rejoining The European Union they should stick with Sir Keir Starmer and vote for Labour Party on the 7th of May?🤔
Repost after voting please.
I’ve never been so shocked and disgusted by a Labour Party election broadcast.
No wonder it has been censored.
It’s because we didn’t use our own words - just those of Reform UK politicians.
It needs to be watched and shared so that people know who and what they’re voting for.
Let’s not forget that as Donald Trump passes judgement on the head of State of Iran there is another one, in the Kremlin, whose signature started the invasion of Ukraine and has left hundreds of thousands of people dead. If the US is not to be seen as hypocritical in its claim that it is re-asserting moral authority then the White House should take a much harder line on Russia.
The #NobelPeacePrize medal.
It measures 6.6 cm in diameter, weighs 196 grams and is struck in gold. On its face, a portrait of Alfred Nobel and on its reverse, three naked men holding around each other’s shoulders as a sign of brotherhood. A design unchanged for 120 years.
Did you know that some Nobel Peace Prize medals have been passed on after the award was given? A well‑known case is Dmitry Muratov’s medal, which was auctioned for over USD 100 million to support refugees from the war in Ukraine.
And the medal displayed at the Nobel Peace Center is actually on loan and originally belonged to Christian Lous Lange, Norway’s first Peace Prize laureate.
But one truth remains. As the Norwegian Nobel Committee states: “Once a Nobel Prize is announced, it cannot be revoked, shared, or transferred to others. The decision is final and stands for all time.”
A medal can change owners, but the title of a Nobel Peace Prize laureate cannot.
Statement from the Premier of Greenland 🇬🇱
January 9, 2026
8:30pm local time.
We Stand Together as a People
As leaders of Greenland’s political parties, we once again wish to underline our firm position that the United States’ disregard for our country must come to an end.
We do not wish to be Americans. We do not wish to be Danes. We wish to be Greenlanders.
Greenland is a country governed in accordance with the Self-Government Act and international law. The Government of Greenland and the Inatsisartut are elected by the people of Greenland, and through this mandate they cooperate with the United States and other Western countries—a cooperation that will continue in the future.
The future of Greenland must be decided by the Greenlandic people. Work concerning Greenland’s future is conducted in dialogue with the population and prepared on the basis of international law and the Self-Government Act. No other country has the right to interfere in this process. We will decide our country’s future ourselves—without pressure to make hasty decisions, without delays imposed from outside, and without external interference.
In recent years, we have strengthened our international responsibility and engagement. This has been carried out through official diplomatic channels and in accordance with international principles based on mutual respect, and this approach will continue.
We once again call for dialogue to be conducted on the basis of diplomacy and international principles. This is the appropriate path forward for allies and friends.
We therefore agree on the following:
That intensified and close dialogue with our allies and cooperation partners must be ensured.
That a meeting of the Inatsisartut be brought forward in order to secure a responsible, orderly, and united political debate.
That, in these extraordinary and serious circumstances, the rights and interests of the Greenlandic people are safeguarded.
That we will continue working to develop opportunities that ensure security and well-being for our people throughout the entire country.
We stand together in our right to our country, now and for all time.
Greenland belongs to the Greenlandic people.
