@KayWarren1@BethMooreLPM@JackiCKing Can I say to both of you how much I have admired your ministry from afar over the years. And it does seem incredibly petty that the SBC disfellowshipped saddleback church. Let’s be honest though the SBC are the losers in that decision.
@BethMooreLPM@RevChrisDavis Jesus wept. Of course you are only writing your perspective and you rightly acknowledge here that not everyone will fall into the errors you are highlighting but watching from the UK I can only say that in the last few years I have been increasingly alarmed about the USA church.
This Protestant has never agreed with a pope more than I do over this tweet and the concerns that lay behind it. We all need to think seriously about this issue and I plan on reading his long work on AI soon
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas

6. Turning from sin

Human life is a miracle.
What did Charles actually do? He praised NATO in front of its loudest critic. He championed climate action in front of a climate denier. He called for interfaith dialogue during an administration that has banned citizens from Muslim-majority countries. He praised checks and balances on executive power to a room full of lawmakers who have been unable to exercise them. He referenced the Middle East crisis that is currently straining the alliance he was there to celebrate. He defended the Royal Navy after Trump publicly insulted it. And he did all of this while receiving standing ovations, bipartisan laughter, and a dinner invitation.
