I want to pose a challenge to Lindsay Clancy supporters.

Lindsay Clancy vs. Lori Vallow Daybell Double Standard: Where Do We Actually Draw the Line?

If you find yourself fiercely defending Lindsay Clancy while simultaneously viewing Lori Vallow Daybell as an irredeemable monster, you need to ask yourself what standard you are actually applying.

Strip away the optics, the demographics, and the selective media empathy, and look at the raw core of both cases:

* The Outcome is Identical: Both women violently ended the lives of their young children. In both cases, innocent kids who depended entirely on their mothers for protection were killed.

* Both Claimed Altruistic / Delusional Motives: Lori Vallow believed her children were possessed "zombies" and that killing them was freeing their souls from demonic suffering in preparation for the end times. Lindsay Clancy’s supporters argue that severe psychiatric illness, overmedication, and a failed healthcare system caused her to hear command voices and believe she had to destroy her children. Both operated inside completely shattered realities.

* The Psychosis Question: Psychosis is psychosis. The law and psychiatry do not grant moral exemptions based purely on whether a psychotic break was religious or postpartum. If severe detachment from reality excuses the act of filicide in one case, why does it get discarded as pure villainy in another?

* Planning vs. Capacity: Critics point out that Lori fled and concealed the bodies. Yet prosecutors against Lindsay Clancy also presented evidence of calculated timing; waiting until her husband was sent away on an errand to execute the acts. If methodical actions negate an insanity defense for one, why do supporters dismiss them for the other?

The uncomfortable question for Lindsay Clancy supporters is simple: At what point does a mother who kills her children stop being a victim of tragedy and start being held accountable for murder?

If your empathy is contingent on relatability, social background, or which narrative framing hits closest to home, it isn’t a consistent standard of justice... it is selective bias. So let's call it what it is.
