Thank you @adriprc for the work that you do at Queer the Ballet— as a queer critic, but also as a lesbian dancer who felt alone for many years in figuring ballet’s relation to how I perform my own femininity. Lesbians can do and love ballet and more people should know it!
@fakedansavage That’s why orgs like @queertheballet are important! for dancers and audiences of marginalized identities. But either way, there are hardly any queer narratives in ballet at all- for cis gay men or anyone else. Very proud to be queering the hell outta the industry that I love
