All the MDs who want better control arms should check this out. The model example of changing control arm that @Papa_Heme advocated ECOG E1910 trial.

Trial started in **2014**, study completion date not until **2027**! (assuming for follow-up).

If you keep changing the control arm whenever there is a change of SOC, the trial will never finish.

In this "perfect world", very few drugs will get approved.
