Got some work in with Coach Joe today! I love getting reps all over the field and challenging myself at different positions. SS will always be home 🫶🏼 but I’m working to be ready wherever my team needs me!
Super excited to head to College Station this Sunday for @AggieSoftball camp!! 👍🏼🤠

Work with one of my virtual kiddos @adrynbertling - Talking spine angle
Remember spine angle isn’t about keeping the torso stagnant through the rotation, it’s about creating a rotational axis that allows the body to organize the object in hand (bat) to its desired goal.
The higher the pitch the less torso inclination you would need and the lower the pitch the more torso inclination you would need. One that goes hand and hand with this is if the bat/spine can maintain being perpendicular with each other through the zone that athlete tends to be more successful while having adjustability to high/middle/low/in/middle/out/slow/fast pitching.
If you see your bat tends to disconnect or get steep definitely check if you’re even connected early at launch position relative to 90° along with asking yourself does the spine angle match the pitch you initially tried hitting ; if you tried hitting a high pitch and you’re around 35-40° you’re bat is going to be really steep and you could lose your ability to having success with that specific pitch long term. 🪐

A special night as #GISDGoesGold to recognize students that have/had childhood cancer. This will always be a meaningful event as we remember one of our student athletic trainers Madelyn. We are always grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. #MGS💙🩶💛
A huge thank you to Baylor and MCC for putting on an incredible event and giving our athletes the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow in front of some outstanding college coaches including Trinity Valley, Mary Hardin Baylor, UT Tyler, and Temple College.
