Based on a suggestion from an autistic student who was unable to start driving lessons due to the lockdown I've made a short video for my website which introduces myself, my SEN driving school and my tuition car. ๐
During the driving course we embark on a series of challenging adventure drives. I've just been expanding the 'delivery driver' scenario which now includes more diversity including a garage visit (simulated ABS fault), dropping off wetsuits, sausage rolls and a fridge. ๐๐
@Veritatem2021@GarethDeanPR Totally, I do presentations on transitioning to EV. For ~60% of us who can have home charging EV is currently easier than combustion, my advice to others (if not keen) is wait until the tech matches the traditional fuel experience (300+ mile range with 10 minute recharges). ๐
@Veritatem2021@GarethDeanPR 95% is home charging, so I've got โผ300 miles each day. On big, big journeys I'll normally stop after 200 miles for loo / food / rest and the car just charges while you're at the service station. It's ok if it's not for everyone, but I'm very happy. ๐
@GarethDeanPR@Veritatem2021 Agreed, I've done 300,000+ electric miles since switching to EVs in 2017. ๐ If anything it's been easier than combustion, I don't miss having to visit a petrol station twice a week.
