One of the most wonderful people you could meet around the rink.
Heartbroken seeing this news. Sending all my love to Gail’s family and many, many friends. Everyone will miss your smile and presence at games. ❤️
A message from Admirals President Jon Greenberg:
"The entire Milwaukee Admirals organization is deeply saddened by the passing of long-time season ticket member, Gail Burchardt.
Gail’s truly remarkable streak of consecutive games came to a sudden end prior to game 4 of the Division Finals. She attended 1,222 straight games so seeing her seat empty was a shock to everyone.
Gail saw so many players and coaches come through the organization since 1995 when she first joined our season ticket member family. She was there for the Calder Cup championship team in 2004. She was there for the trip to the Finals in 2006. She was there for her favorite player, Vern Fiddler’s time in Milwaukee.
Gail loved the Admirals and she will be missed by not only all of us but by the many fans and ushers who got to know her over the years.
Our deepest condolences go out to her husband, Ron, who was with her for many of those 1,222 games and to all of her family, many of which she introduced to Admirals hockey.
Please keep Gail’s family and her friends in your thoughts and prayers."

While it’s been almost 7 years away from working rinkside - it’s a joy to see the Admirals trickle into my current job as news editor of the Kenosha News.
Always love the organization’s community efforts. ❤️
It all starts in Milwaukee 🤝
We're proud to announce a multi-year affiliation extension with the @mkeadmirals through the 2028-29 season.

I’m not saying there haven’t been good draft picks along the way -but- the staying power of first round picks and Nashville is head scratching at times. Things either just don’t fit or work out.
Many of which are bummers because the talent is evident - it just didn’t translate.
@ADogNamedMilo I feel as if some don’t realize minor leagues/farm systems are still professional sports…
Now that I work at a newspaper - I think I’m as equally offended at the editorial process not realizing that blunder as the writer for swinging and missing on it. 😅
