@bowtiedhalibut I’ve used the wood handled Rapala knives for years. Inexpensive and they last a long time.
The plastic handled version didn’t last as long. I think Martiini still makes the wood handled knives as a matter of fact I think Rapala may now own Martiini.
@jercephus I had that.
I used to drive a lot and had my wallet in my back pocket. Don’t sit on your wallet while driving. Sounds funny but it’s a real issue.
@HuttonPraesens I see that kind of stuff here in rural Florida all the time. It’s good to see folks growing their own food using stuff that’s already on hand.
You can grow tomatoes in 5 gallon buckets. Just safely (very safely) punch drainage holes in the bottom and fill with potting soil. Even large tomato plants will be ok.
There’s no need to buy expensive pots.
If you’re short on time you can complete a body weight circuit at home or go for a 30 minute jog (or walk) in less time than it takes to drive to the gym and back.
Remove barriers to success.
@JoshRainerGold @theoldpioneer Good diagram!
I didn’t learn about the cuts until I started hunting. Big miss on my part.
I don’t care for filet(compared to other cuts). I like the NY strip the best.
@e_cdalton I agree with you. I’m 47. You definitely need to stay strong/build muscle as you age.
Strong muscles also prevent injury.
Functional fitness implies strength IMO. I want to be able to handle pull ups and carry heavy stuff as I move into my later years.
I fully support and believe in organic and regenerative farming practices but if we are going to change the broken food production model we have to support the family growing tomatoes on their balcony in containers.
@HuttonPraesens It may not make sense now but in a few years you’re going to look back at stuff like this and feel incredibly lucky to have experienced that.
I still laugh at the funny stuff my kids did (and do).
