JD Vance’s signal that there’s “no deal” after the first round of U.S.–Iran talks reflects the structural deadlock: Washington is pushing for verifiable limits on enrichment and regional de-escalation, while Tehran is holding firm on sanctions relief and strategic autonomy. The gap was always going to be wide. The first round was less about agreement and more about testing red lines.
But this is diplomacy, not a one-shot negotiation.
The alternative to continued talks is far more consequential. A collapse risks escalation in an already volatile region, sustained energy shocks, and a feedback loop into global inflation and financial instability. Markets, supply chains, and vulnerable economies would all take the hit. No serious actor can afford that outcome.
Which is why talks will resume. They have to.
And in all this, Pakistan has quietly delivered a strategic win. By bringing Washington and Tehran into the same diplomatic space and opening a credible channel, it has shifted from the margins to the table at a critical geopolitical moment. Outcomes remain uncertain, but the fact of engagement itself is a durable achievement.
In a fragmented world, creating the conditions for dialogue is no small feat.
A former diplomat had to tell Indian anchors to stop their anti-Pakistan agenda during the important Iran-US peace talks in Islamabad.
Honestly this is embarrassing!
Deeply appreciate the clear position taken by Karachi Bar Association, Hyderabad High Court Bar Association, Balochistan Bar Council and Lahore Bar Association on the visibly unfair and biased trial in the tweets case lodged against us.

We knew today we were walking into a trap by entering the High Court but unlike the man who has given himself lifetime immunity, we do not run away from the courts, even though we know these are fake cases. All we have demanded is that our right to fair trial be safeguarded. Now that the prosecution case (tweets case) has burned to the ground, the little boys want to put us in jail by hook or by crook. Suddenly, a fake and concocted FIR from 6 months ago has surfaced. More will surface too. The petty small men think by putting us in jail they can shut people’s mouths. Thats not how it works.
Those who grant themselves lifetime immunity are the ones who are scared of jail. Their fear is at an all time high.

Your very ideas are but the outgrowth of the conditions of your bourgeois production and bourgeois property, just as your jurisprudence is but the will of your class made into a law for all,
When one lawyer is targeted, the entire Bar rises. KBA stands shoulder to shoulder with @ImaanZHazir and @AdvHadiali Constitution, Fair Trial and Justice are non-negotiable.

.@mohammedhanif asks many powerful men in uniform were with @ImranKhanPTI when he was the prime minister but none is blamed, instead now we are told Bushra Bibi ruined the country. Infact the real “murshad” (Spirtual leader) is only one who is getting lifetime rank & immunity!
Rawalpindi High Court has quashed the blasphemy case against five accused, declaring it entirely fabricated. Acquitting the innocent is insufficient; those who filed the false case must be prosecuted for fabricating evidence and attempting to secure death sentences for innocent citizens through malicious blasphemy charges.
