@LynneStactia@TembaMliswa Lynn why is it that not even a single MP from Zanu Pf has debated against CAB3? Is it logical to continuously blame the Opposition on this CAB3 thing while its architectures are exonerated?

I stand to benefit PERSONALLY from CAB 3. By all selfish calculations, I should support it. Some have whispered, "Take the opportunity while it is there." But leadership is not measured by what benefits us; it is measured by what benefits the people. When I asked myself, WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE? I found every reason to OPPOSE it.
CAB3 is nothing; in fact, it is child’s play. The real danger is CAB4, CAB5 and 6; a calculated pathway to capture, entrenchment and the quiet birth of a new political dynasty. Never allow this carmel to put its head in through CAB3. They are testing the waters. Tinoparara.
Do you really think if Tagwirei takes over from an 86 year old Mnangagwa he will only do 14 years and thereafter gracefully retire to Shurugwi in his 60s? Kwanai mazvinzwa.
Today, I wish to address an issue that has been circulating on various social media platforms. There have been allegations that Members of Parliament and Senators from the opposition are being paid by ZANU-PF agents to vote in favour of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3. These allegations are unfounded, unsubstantiated, and entirely false. As such, they should be dismissed with the contempt they deserve.
From where I stand, and in my capacity as a leader of the opposition in Parliament, I categorically reject this information as misleading and inaccurate. It is unfortunate that some individuals continue to spread rumours and misinformation without providing any credible evidence to support their claims.
On the contrary, Members of Parliament are elected representatives of the people. Their primary responsibility is to represent the interests, concerns, and aspirations of the citizens who elected them from their respective constituencies. As such, they are guided by their conscience, the needs of their constituents, and the national interest when making decisions on matters before Parliament.
It is therefore wrong and unfair to suggest that every Member of Parliament who supports a particular Bill has been influenced by financial inducements. Such allegations undermine the integrity of Parliament and erode public confidence in one of the country's most important democratic institutions.
I urge fellow Zimbabweans across all sectors of society to be responsible when sharing information. Let us promote a culture of verifying facts and reporting confirmed information rather than peddling falsehoods, speculation, and misleading narratives. Constructive national discourse must be based on truth, evidence, and mutual respect.
Furthermore, we must always remember to respect the Parliament of Zimbabwe as a sacred public institution established to serve the people and uphold the principles of democracy. While citizens are entitled to hold differing views on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 and other national matters, those views should be expressed respectfully and based on facts rather than misinformation.
As a nation, let us remain committed to promoting unity, accountability, and informed public debate for the betterment of Zimbabwe.
"We want an electoral system the citizens can trust" – Hon. Chikombo
Hon. Chikombo delivered a passionate rejection of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (#CAB3) in Parliament, arguing that the proposed changes fail to address the real issues facing Zimbabwe's democracy.
According to Chikombo, the Bill does not eliminate electoral toxicity, heal national divisions, or strengthen reconciliation. Instead, he warned that it centralises power and takes decision-making further away from ordinary citizens.
"Election toxicity is not removed by extending terms, but by reforming power," he said.
He argued that Zimbabwe does not need fewer elections, it needs better elections that are free, credible, and trusted by the people.
In one of the most striking moments of his presentation, Chikombo said the Bill "transfers power from the citizens" and sends the message that "their vote is dangerous."
Watch the full video to hear his detailed arguments and decide for yourself: Does Zimbabwe need constitutional amendments, or does it need electoral reforms that restore public trust?

Hon. @ropamakumire spoke for the people! There are no employment opportunities, and youth are living like beggars. Zimbabwe doesn't need an extension of the ruling party's years; the term has come to an end. By 2028, ZANU must go; it has failed, and we say #2030Musipo#NoTo2030❌
