“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1–3, KJV).
1. God tells us what we need to know. If He wanted you to commit adultery, He would have told you. If He changed the Sabbath to Sunday, He would have told you. God is not the author of confusion. He does not hide essential truths from His children and then punish them for not finding secret meanings between the lines.
2. One on one. That is the relationship God wants with you. You and God, alone. Not you and your husband. Not you and your pastor. Not you and your priest. Others can teach, encourage, and guide, but nobody can pray, study, repent, or believe on your behalf. Every soul must stand before God individually.
3. Jesus is with us now through His Spirit. He dwells in the hearts of believers and promises never to leave nor forsake us. Yet, when He said He would receive us unto Himself, He was speaking of a real, future event. A day is coming when we will literally and physically be in the presence of Christ, seeing Him face to face.
That is the blessed hope of every Christian. This is not merely a spiritual feeling, but the glorious day when Christ Himself returns and we, His people are forever with Him.
Praise God!
Will you obey the commandment of God or man "Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
My brother passed out at my house and was rushed by ambulance to the ER. I am currently in the ER with him. This is his third visit to the hospital. He was just released yesterday, and now we are back here. I feel so bad for him. These are trying times, for sure, but I trust God, implicitly.
Pray for him, please.
