Often and early, its likely that you’ll see a group of beautiful strong black men pulling in their catch 🐠 from the morning while singing a tune.
It was SO beautiful to watch. They were saying “BRING YA BUTT” in their language while pulling.

It is said that Ganvie the largest lake village on the African continent.

To avoid being captured by Portuguese slave traders, this village was created sort of out of thin air. And it laid the groundwork for those who live here today.

My first stop in Ouidah, Benin 🇧🇯 was the #Vodun Python 🐍 Temple.

In this part of #Benin pythons aren’t feared, but instead revered and worshipped; Pythons protect them.
