@British_Airways@HeathrowAirport appreciate that the luggage belt breakdown at T5 on Thurs was somewhat just unlucky. But for those bags to still be stuck in T5 2 days later despite 3 further flights to Changi successfully leaving and no updates is frankly ridiculous.
@British_Airways@HeathrowAirport Glad we have SmartTags in there as that has been more help than either. Have spent the first 2 days of a holiday either trying to progress this or in a shopping centre and still don't know how many more days we need to buy for. The response has been pathetic.
@iDrSunny Sorry @iDrSunny ; this was more a response to the comment that your assertion re revaluation responsobility was inventing a problem that didn't exist. I think it is widely accepted that lack of revaluation is very much an issue (and your q is one reason it hasn't been solved yet)
@TomPMarshall@iDrSunny Would argue that one of the problems they are trying to correct with Council Tax are the distortions caused by the lack of representative revaluation in the current CT system.
@AndrewDixonARC@brodders_be@FairerShare Genuine question: I generally think an annual tax would create a much healthier/mobile (up and down) property market than there is currently but transition has potential to create huge sources of inequity of imposition.
@AndrewDixonARC@brodders_be@FairerShare@AndrewDixonARC do you think there could/should be some discount/credit applied directly via Stamp paid (maybe with a date of payment link)? Otherwise a very weird cliff edge on any implementation date.
@VigilantFox Neither is it even true to say that the welfare budget is bigger than the income generated tax taking for HMT.
@billmaher is wrong and I hope accidentally misinterpreting the data or the UK tax and welfare system.
@VigilantFox Whether you agree with the taxation system of the UK none of the above indicates that the welfare budget is inherently "woke" given it mostly goes to workers or those that have worked in the UK for huge periods of time.
@paullewismoney ...because of the -ve tax implications if these additional conts end up being excess. Releasing final surplus at the end would assist with this and help secure benefits for members.
@paullewismoney Where funding levels are close to 100% on solvency there is always uncertainty as to whether the scheme is really over or underfunded, but well intentioned companies are very reasonably reticent to fund additional contributions through the scheme to complete the exercise...
@drakesmith__ Story from one of the major UK clubs in Surrey/Berkshire heath-belt. Prince Edward played with his friend and pro, Archie Compston, and invited him in for lunch. Compston was refused entry by the club secretary, so the Prince of Wales removed the Royal prefix from the club's name
@PGATOUR@JustinRose99 That being said, my handicap has crept back up to the 5 I was then, and Rose has become one of the best putters on the PGA, so perhaps a refresher is in order?
@PGATOUR@JustinRose99 Whether it was him personally or not I got a very friendly, considered and useful reply about breathing techniques and repeatable routine - I meant a ton to an improving teenager and I still apply these every time I have a sneaky 5-7 footer.
