This is in continuation of my post dated 23.09.2026. There is still no relief on the ground. From midnight to early morning, trucks from all over India carrying scrap, hazardous material, e-waste, plastic waste, etc. enter Brijpuri Road, Delhi-110094 (50-ft public main road). These trucks are unloaded on public land and an illegal market opens here, encroaching the complete 1.8 km stretch of Brijpuri Road. Purchasers then carry the waste to residential premises, where it is processed, causing severe air and noise pollution.The GoI and Govt. of NCT Delhi winter action plan to counter upcoming pollution is of no use on the ground. First, hundreds of pollution-causing trucks enter Delhi’s Brijpuri Road; thereafter the material they carry—scrap, e-waste, plastic waste, etc.—is processed in furnaces and by fire, creating an air hazard. If an AQI device were installed here, the reading would be higher than anywhere else in Delhi. Residents of Brijpuri Road, Delhi-110094 (50-ft public main road) are facing an illegal midnight scrap market on the carriageway. From after midnight till 6 AM, heavily loaded 12–16 tyre trucks from across India load/unload scrap on the public road. This is causing severe noise pollution, obstruction and an almost uninhabitable environment. School-going children preparing for mid-term exams cannot sleep. All this is happening in full view of Delhi Police. No effective action so far.
A resident has already filed CM Jan Sunwai complaint no. 40057260004113.Please intervene immediately, stop this illegal trade on a public road, and restore a habitable, peaceful neighbourhood.
