I am in Bodh Gaya to support the #MahaBodhiMuktiAndolan, with my colleagues.

Yesterday, I participated in the protest with the Buddhist monks, offered my prayers in front of the Buddha statue and by the Bodhi tree at the Mahabodhi Mahavihara.

Before me, my father Prakash Ambedkar and my uncle Bhimrao Ambedkar had come to Bodh Gaya to support and participate in the protest led by Buddhist monks.

@VBAforIndia is a stakeholder in the #MahaBodhiMuktiAndolan and is building a people’s movement in Maharashtra.

I met representatives from different Buddhist organisations to learn on how collectively we can build a large campaign. I am sure that the joint efforts of Buddhists will win this fight against religious injustice and Brahmanism.

The Beed @VBAforIndia District Committee functionaries have been with Dhananjay Keshar since the morning.

VBA Beed District President Ajay Sarode (the man in white shirt sitting next to Dhananjay), went to the Sirur Court to successful get bail from the false cases filled on Dhananjay’s family members.

I spoke to Dhananjay this afternoon and been in continuous touch with him.
I have also spoken to the Superintendent of Police, Beed and he has promised to take immediate actions and said that the lapse and delay which took place at the hands of the local police will not be repeated again.

Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi was the first on the scene to help the victim and will keep fighting till justice is served.

The F-16s were given by the US with strict end-use restrictions. Under the US agreements, Pakistan cannot use F-16s or their American-supplied munitions for offensive operations against India.

Pakistan has used US-supplied F-16 in operations against India.
This is a gross violation!

⭕ Bharat Electronics Limited (B.E.L.) manufactures the E.V.M. with the help of Electronics Corporation of India (E.C.I.L.), and B.E.L. also holds the SOURCE CODE of the E.V.M. Additionally, this company decides where the E.V.M. machines should be sent. Why are there people from the BJP, like Mansukhbhai Khacharia, on the BOARD OF DIRECTORS of this company❓

I want to recall an excerpt of his speech, which he addressed to the students and the young, in Agra on March 18, 1956.

Babasaheb gave his life working for the upliftment of the Dalits and the socially backward and deprived. A messiah for the downtrodden, he vehemently battled against the system which discriminated against him and millions of untouchables like him.

The socio-political movement which was started by Babasaheb was carried forward by and further built upon the blood and sweat of our grandfathers, grandmothers, fathers and mothers. They carried the fight on their shoulders despite facing every odd. Whatever little time, effort and money the community could contribute, they did. Why? To keep the movement alive. Fruits of this labour and sacrifices have been shared and distributed amongst the community. A generation who took this work ahead is slowly becoming a part of history.

Today, the onus of carrying forward the party today lies on the shoulders on you — the future of the nation. The new entrants are expected to take the wheel of the movement ahead. But strangely, their emotion, dedication, and desire to do so is now fading. Many have made it a ritual while forgetting that Ambedkar himself would have not liked what the movement he started has become.

If you do not take the movement forward, the blood and sweat of our generations would have been for nothing. The fight would have been for nothing. Babasaheb’s struggle would have been for nothing. The comfort zone that you have grown accustomed to has been possible because your previous generation fought for it. But this comfort zone can be swept off any minute if you abandon the movement.

We revere our forefathers for the status we enjoy today. Carry forward the movement on your shoulders and ensure that your future generation enjoy the fruits of your labours, similar to what we enjoyed because of our forefathers.

Balasaheb Ambedkar was admitted to a hospital in Pune in the early hours of Thursday morning, October 31, for a chest pain.

Balasaheb Ambedkar is being treated at the ICU for a blood clot in his heart. 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 and 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫.

The Ambedkar family will not be taking questions at this time and requests you to respect the family's request for privacy as they deal with these circumstances.

Since Balasaheb would be under observation for the next 3-5 days, VBA State President Rekha Tai Thakur, with the support of the Election Coordination Committee, Manifesto Committee and Media and Research Department, will be leading the campaign of VBA for the next few days.

Keep Balasaheb in your thoughts and prayers for his quick recovery.

I wrote to the Hon’ble Prime Minister @PMOIndia and raised the matter of implementation of promotional reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) employees within the central government, as enshrined in Article 16(4A) and Article 16(4)B of the Constitution of India.

The letter was emailed to the PMO on July 18.

The lack of implementation of Promotional Reservation for SC and ST employees within the Central Government is matter of grave concern, and I have requested for the Prime Minister’s intervention and swift action.
