As ports grow, the regulation of them - especially in the environmental sector - does not. Sad to see the docks also can't escape water pollution. Even with proper means of disposal so nearby, plastic and other harmful materials often end up in the ocean... Harming marine life.
So much random junk in ocean... and of course it is mostly all plastic. There are approximately 244,000 metric tons of plastic floating in the ocean and another 8.5 million metric tons going to the bottom EACH year!
