🕯️ Candle March | Silent Protest | Gautam Nagar, Delhi 22-08-2026
Foreign Medical Graduates carried out a peaceful candle march and silent protest in Gautam Nagar, Delhi, seeking justice, fairness and a compassionate resolution to their concerns regarding the FMGE.
Why have an FMG pathway if the system cannot make it work?
Many students invest years & substantial money in med education abroad, only to face exam irregularities, extended internships & shortage of internship seats.
A pathway on paper is meaningless unless it works in practice.
Thousands of Indian medical graduates who studied abroad must clear the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) to practise medicine in India.
Today, we have left our books and hospitals behind and come to the streets, demanding justice and a fair resolution to the issues we faced during the exam.
We are not asking for a favour.
We are asking for fairness for our careers and our future.
Please listen to us .Please support the FMGs.

Why FMGs are on hunger protest ?
Everyone must question this and understand how a gross systematic failure has been burdened upon their career .
During recent FMG exam students lost valuable time due to biometric delays, infrastructure issues and technical glitches while the paper difficulty also changed.
NBE itself acknowledged that 8 marks were affected by technical errors and agreed to reduce difficulty..
But this mistake will cost students the loss of another 6 months. If the system failed them, why should they pay the price? Accountability must include compensation to them for which they are on protest @PMOIndia

The concerns being raised by FMGE aspirants deserve to be heard with empathy and objectivity.
For any examination that determines the professional future of thousands of young doctors, transparency in the evaluation process is important—not to question standards, but to strengthen trust in them.
A clear and transparent mechanism for addressing genuine concerns, including greater clarity around the evaluation process and answer keys, can only add credibility to the examination.
This need not be about taking sides. It is simply about ensuring that every candidate feels that the process assessing years of hard work is fair, accountable and transparent.

All the FMGE’s have been cheated and no transparency has been declared by NBEMS due to the real irregularities which the @NBEMS_Official isn’t ready to show up as they know they are wrong.
I request the respected authorities to take strict action and the FMG’s want the justice.
We respectfully urge @NBEMS Official to consider appropriate compensation marks for affected candidates in the recent FMGE, keeping in view the difficulties faced by them. A fair decision will strengthen transparency in the examination system #justiceforfmg

@official_aimsa respectfully requests and strongly urges @NBEMS_Official to consider appropriate compensation marks for the recently conducted Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), keeping in mind the concerns raised regarding the examination and the difficulties faced by the affected candidates.
A fair decision on compensation marks would help maintain the faith of thousands of FMGs in the examination system, uphold transparency and fairness, and protect the academic and professional careers of future doctors of Bharat.
We are confident that the other concerns raised by the Association will also be addressed appropriately through the due process.
However, at this crucial juncture, we sincerely request NBEMS to provide appropriate compensation marks to the affected students and ensure a fair, transparent and positive resolution.
We also wish Hon’ble Shri J. P. Nadda Ji @JPNadda a speedy recovery and good health. We sincerely hope for his kind intervention in the concerns raised by the Association before NBEMS and a positive resolution in the interest of thousands of FMGs.
We remain hopeful for a positive decision within the given time frame, in the interest of thousands of Foreign Medical Graduates and the future of healthcare in Bharat.
