@SchmidtOcean@CordesLab@LlevinAnn Watching in Intro to Oceanography lab at Prince William Sound College in Valdez, AK during incubations. So great to be able to show students such an exciting project in such a different area of the world

During a lab for oceanography students sampled water which will be shared with the Alutiiq Pride Marine Institute.
Student Jayce Chaplin shared, "I could be inside doing something in a lab but I'm out here on the ocean doing classwork, and it's stunning."

My team at Illumina has been hiring like crazy for the last couple months and for some reason I was stupid and didn't post about it on Twitter. We're looking for anyone in the broad field of understanding what genomes do. If you're interested in talking about it, my DMs are open!
We Interrupt our regularly scheduled program to report that there are tons of wildflowers on Thompson Pass this summer! Here are some growing near the Worthington Glacier (a 30 minute drive from PWSC and #ValdezAlaska!) #wildernesswednesday 🍃🏔
@pwsc_alaska We made it! Anyone want to chat about living here, plants and animals in the area, local environ sci topics, mar sci, trails, outdoor activities, anything, let me know. I'll be happy to hear all about it over a coffee, beer, hike, dog park visit, etc. #valdezalaska
Driving through 100 degrees in Idaho meant finding a campground on a lake that we could just sit in for a few hours. That was Wednesday night and now we're in 60 degrees and cloudy in Seattle. Way better. Very excited to avoid 100 degs in #valdezalaska at @pwsc_alaska !
Made it to Boulder yesterday. We're getting there @pwsc_alaska ! During the trip I've been enjoying planning Biota of Alaska and Environmental Science for this semester. They're going to be super fun! #ValdezAlaska#Alaska
