@lisarini11 @lickedspoon@debperelman@dashandbella I completely agree, about the CSA, the respite of losing yourself for a short time in the respite of a farm, the solace of cooking for yourself and others, and particularly the praise of Phyllis Grant, whose blog, book, and recipes are superb.
Check out the @womendotcom "Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide: Books Edition" featuring Final Table and @jbfriedland's great novel "He Gets That From Me": https://t.co/TbVETC7tLM
I agree with @taylor_deer that Nevis is a fabulous vacation destination, having been there over 20 years running. If you go, or wish you could, pick up #themoonalwaysrising, set in Nevis and Scotland. "The Resort" in the story is a fictional version of Nevis's #FourSeasons!
I am excited to share my latest blog post on my most recent trip to St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean with @FSNevis ! This is the perfect luxury trip to take this winter if you're looking for a warm getaway!

It was such a pleasure to do a live reading in an IRL bookstore with other @LockdownLitera2 authors. Thanks to @MeredithOBrien and @DiscoverTatnuck for making this possible. Check out all our books--great gifts!
There is a viral disease
Where most infections are mild, asymptomatic
With a very low fatality rate
And large age gradient: kids are even lower risk than adults
And less than 1% of kids have any serious complications at all
Yup
Polio
And we vaccinate against it
A thoughtful and gripping family tale that will haunt readers long after finishing it. HE GETS THAT FROM ME @jbfriedland KIRKUS review https://t.co/uKGU0TlzxC
Terrible timing, indeed! My debut novel, THE MOON ALWAYS RISING launched in April 2020. My sympathies to all other authors whose books suffered during pandemic, and my endless gratitude to my fellow members of #lockdownliterature for their support.
I need a name for the particular sadness of rereading a book that once had a shimmering, transcendant hold over you and discovering that, a decade later, it no longer does.
