Israeli Special Forces captured a Palestinian terrorist in Judea and Samaria who was planning to carry out a terror attack.
We are fighting Palestinian terrorism every day.

September 12, 1970. Deep across the border in Laos, a tiny raiding force was in its second day of Operation Tailwind, fighting for its life far behind enemy lines.
Tailwind was a MACV-SOG mission, the secret war America would not admit it was waging. Around 16 Americans and 120 Montagnard fighters had punched into a North Vietnamese base area to raise hell and pull enemy forces away from a bigger operation elsewhere. By the 12th they were deep in the jungle, in near constant combat, surrounded much of the time by a far larger enemy, hitting supply lines and camps and fighting their way onward.
Through it all, the lone medic, Gary Rose, moved from wounded man to wounded man, himself hurt and limping on a stick, refusing to stop. His four days of that work would earn him the Medal of Honor.
Tailwind would run to September 14, and against all odds every one of the 16 Americans would come home alive. It stayed classified for decades, one more hidden chapter of the war in Laos.

September 12, 1967. Operation Swift was fighting through its final, bloody days in the Que Son Valley, one of the deadliest battles of the year for the Marines.
It had begun before dawn on September 4 when a North Vietnamese force overran a Marine company near Dong Son, and every relief force sent in had run into the same dug in enemy who had come to stand and fight. On September 10, Company H had been shredded in an ambush near Hill 43, and the fighting flared again on the 12th as the Marines pushed through the valley against the North Vietnamese rear guard.
It was in this battle that the chaplain Vincent Capodanno and Sergeant Lawrence Peters had died winning the Medal of Honor, two men from the same battalion in the same fight.
Swift would end three days later, on September 15, with 127 Marines killed and an estimated 600 of the enemy. The Que Son Valley exacted a terrible price across the whole war, and Swift was one of the times it lived up to its bloody name.
