Oba Femi sends a heartfelt message to Brock Lesnar after Lesnar proclaimed Femi as ‘The Future’ —
“We all know Brock is a beast, he presents as a beast, he’s a monster, he’s been dominant for 25 years. But he is still very much human, he’s a human-being, he’s a man, he’s a father, he’s an athlete, he has feelings as well.
So to Brock, I wish you all the best, man. I really do.
Go hunting, do what you do, go be a father, go be a human being, you’ve earned this. In the ring, in the cage, everything you’ve done, you’re the best, you’re one of the greatest minds of professional wrestling
And I hope when all this is said and done, everybody knows that.”

CM Punk responds to Big E asking if Punk had any feelings over Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar main eventing over him and Cody Rhodes —
“Of course I had feelings about that. But I’m not one of these guys that has it in their contract that I HAVE to close the show. Listen ladies and gentlemen, there’s a main event and there’s the match that goes last, it ain’t for me to decide. I’m too old for that.
I’m just gonna lace my boots up and beat somebody’s ass. That’s all I know. Whether I’m first, whether I’m before intermission, whether I’m the popcorn match, whether I’m semi-main main. CM Punk is ALWAYS the main event.”

Some thoughts on the Skubal trade:
1 - Clearly, it’s going to ramp up talks of MLB needing a salary cap system.
2 - “But, Maury, it was a trade. The Tigers controlled this.” This is true, but the Dodgers can jettison top prospects much easier than other clubs, namely the Brewers and Rays. Dodgers can fill mistakes through FA.
3 - Before last night, the narrative has been small markets leading races upending MLB’s cap argument. This remains true… for now. I dug deep into what competitive balance and economic parity means with the dueling proposals by MLB and the MLBPA and why they see it all through different lenses (link in the comments)
