SUPERGIRL had this big issue where all the comedic dialogue was written in the most obvious, first draft-y way possible and it resulted in one of the saddest experiences for me in the theater where 99% of the jokes would be met by silence from everyone.
#Supergirl is a “super-horrendous” comic book movie “with the worst script I can remember,” reads Variety’s review from @OwenGleiberman.
James Gunn said he wasn’t going into production on any movie until the script was rock-solid. For that was the overriding problem with the superhero overkill era: the films had lousy scripts, which served as grids for layering visual effects.
Gunn was right to want to take the comic-book genre back to the basics of well-structured screenwriting. So what has he done in his second DC outing? He’s given us a comic-book movie with the worst script I can remember.

James Gunn says The Authority is no longer in development at DC Studios
"The script wasn't quite there but more importantly it didn't work in terms of the larger DCU both in terms of the story and practical concerns."
This is funny bc it not only invalidates the existence of Black Latinos but also they pretend like their country wasn't the only one in the continent pushing segregation and have a president doing racist monkey ai slop of black ppl 😭
‘PARADISE LOST’ has reportedly been shelved at DC Studios.
DC Studios reportedly met with writers and heard pitches, but they were told that it is cancelled.
