@katiemartinedu Real world application for student discourse - we should only be diving into content that has connection points to the world around us. Students need it to feel invested in having big, important conversations around their learning. The value of that has to increase.

I subbed for a teacher today, and I hung out with 10th graders for about 2 hours. We shared music recs, watched some videos, and I broke them out to hang with friends. I miss teaching a lot, and I have so much respect for teachers rn. I was lifted a lil today. #distancelearning
