STEPHEN WOLFRAM
A New Kind Of Science
“How are the intricate patterns of snowflakes produced?” ~Stephen Wolfram
Math usually concerns itself with arbitrary abstract systems, but what if it’s actually based on simple patterns?
Physics is usually math approached to science. It’s almost assumed any serious physical theory must be math based. With many remarkable physical phenomena still unsolved, maybe they’re based on simple patterns?
Biology, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Philosophy, Art, Technology, AI, Evolution Theory, and maybe even the After Life is be based on simple patterns.
Wolfram use his approach of simple patterns instead of traditional mathematical rules. The results of simple patterns… of simple programs are fascinating.

It’s a whooping 1197 pages, but fortunately ran into a chance presentation of him presenting this “new” book in 2002. Maybe we are just thinking things too complex?

☕️ 📖 and 🥞
“The Law of Nations”
A primary source for the U.S. Constitution. Nations are equal and independent, regardless of their size—a concept of "legal flatness" that ensures every state has the same standing under international law.
Like a Van Halen song or Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95, this “book” is from a bunch of deep thought provoking essays pieced together. Hmmm…
Emer de Vattel’s Le droit des gens.
An Arthur thought…
The Flatness Metric: Scientifically grounded study, geographers determined that Kansas is flatter than a pancake. Using polynomial equations to compare the state's topography to an IHOP pancake, researchers found that Kansas has less relief than the surface of the breakfast food.
Florida, Illinois, and North Dakota are technically even flatter.
Note: Kansas originally recorded "Dust in the Wind" in the key of C Major. Sounds like A Minor, due to the emphasis on A minor chords in the verses… it’s kind of the same anyways?
Aren’t we?

3 days ago: rainy morning with ☕️ calmly reading THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Ratified 1789

The first 10 Amendments (the Bill of Rights) ratified December 15, 1791 are for tomorrow morning. 🙂
Four days ago, started the day grounded in calm and ☕️, soaking in multiple readings of THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
Action of Second Continental Congress, July 4, 1776
The Unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America
It’s a 10 minute read when done very slowly. A lot to soak on so multiple reads for me.
Tomorrow the Constitution ratified September 17, 1787.
AMENDMENTS starting from December 15, 1791 will be this weekend…with ☕️

Five days ago began the day with calm and ☕️, immersed in the vibrant history of Minneapolis' music scene through HEYDAY: 35 Years of Music in Minneapolis, a thoughtful wedding gift with captivating photography by Daniel Corrigan. Danny Sigelman authored the fascinating text.

The people of #Oaxaca know how to eat and the Eléctrico #Mezcalero family is no exception. Eugenia's #molenegro is a secret that can only be prepared at home. There are seven #moles (sauces) that define #OaxacanCuisine. Read about them here | https://t.co/1i9emdJ3w1
If you’re getting around in #SanBaltazar Guelavila, why not take a #CaliChiu? Around the world you’ll find them called various other names, but here in #Oaxaca, they have a #Zapotec name: Cali Chiu, meaning ‘Where are you going?’… to the Eléctrico #Mezcal#Palenque, of course!
Before #mezcal had ignited a spark in her imagination, Eléctrico Mezcal founder @KatBlackwell had fallen for #Oaxaca. And it was alot to do with Oaxaca City’s greatest auditoriums as a recording venue: @TeatroMAlcala. Find out why | https://t.co/UHl30Y5ZQJ
