Unexpectedly celebrating Thanksgiving at home this year. Youngest came down with some stomach non containment, and we are not spreading that.
Now, what to do about a meal? Can’t do turkey, they’re all frozen. 😂
This NaNoWriMo I’m working on an extension of my story Desert Dreams!
Marri is back- but she’ll be leaving La Frateria to skim the desert with her own (tiny) crew.
NaNo goals:
50k words
No absolute zero days
On scheduled “off” days hit 250 words - that’s 15-20 minutes of writing for me.
Do not forget to schedule off days for yourself and adjust your word counts appropriately!!
Day 6 of NaNo and I’m… surviving! I realized I’ve kind of abandoned Twitter, giving updates and all that. So what better time to revamp my SM strategy than when I’m trying to write 50k words?
The first November storm was coming in the night & the village could talk of little else. Miss Rabbit had gone to bed very early with a library book & a tray of nice things - cheese biscuits shaped like crescent moons & a pot of hawthorn tea & a rich pear cake with cream, & when the wind began to howl & the rain began to lash the ancient leaded windows, she felt as though her little cottage was drifting out to sea, untethered, but very well stored & as sound as an old Dorset oak.
Today is day 1 of NaNoWriMo! I am currently stuck at a relative’s house, so I guess it’s time to bust out the novelty card and write on a napkin or something.
Someone was very earnestly telling me that if they just wrote 300 words a day they’d have a novel done in a year and I was like….
How dare you attack me like that.
This month for NaNo, I’m making a list of challenges centered around the act of writing to keep my ADHD brain engaged. I’ll release it as a bingo card, I think. Anyone have suggestions? Mine are things like:
1) write in a library or coffee shop
2) participate in a sprint
