Armys especially need to hear Macklemore's words. These celebrities aren't victims. Bts AREN'T victims. They're millionaires with emmense privilege. The real victims are ppl suffering from genocide, ppl suffering from domestic Violence and fans who are victims and hurt by silence
so you’re telling me macklemore gets dropped from an entire tour for saying “free palestine” which is completely harmless but artists like chris brown who are known woman abusers can still perform at stadiums and hump girls on stage to thousands of people and that’s considered completely normal? this industry is so messed up
macklemore acknowledging the difficult position ed was put in by the potential of cancelling on hundreds of thousands of fans if he sided with him while not letting that be an excuse to not be on the right side of history oh i love a man capable of dialectical thinking
“i think i love my life right now” why wouldn’t you? youve reached the point of wealth where youre comfortable, untouchable. you no longer feel the injustice of social issues, as youre privileged enough. and if that kind of life has turned you to be ignorant, oh man oh man.
To Namjoon,
You had the clearest opportunity today to address the Chris Brown situation and you chose not to.
So I’m not going to keep asking you to talk about it. Your silence is an answer in itself even if it’s not the answer many of us wanted.
What I still find frustrating is the idea that we should simply “separate the art from the artist.” How are we supposed to do that when you spent years making your art so deeply connected to who you are, what you believe in, and the values you publicly shared with us?
You didn’t just give us music. You gave us your words, your beliefs, and your perspective. You asked us to listen to what you had to say about the world. That connection was part of what made your art meaningful to so many of us.
And if those messages were only something you used to sell records, while you privately believe something completely different, then that makes the situation even more absurd and sick. It would mean that the values people connected with were just a performance and that the person behind the art was never really present in it at all.
So when your actions contradict the values we associated with you, of course that changes how some of us experience your work. That isn’t hate. It isn’t “being an anti.” It’s a natural consequence of seeing the person behind the art contradict those values.
You are free to make your choices. But we are equally free to decide what those choices mean to us.
And honestly, telling people to separate the art from the artist feels less like maturity and more like avoiding an uncomfortable reality.
I’m not asking you for an apology anymore.
I just wonder whether the values you spent years talking about still mean what I thought they meant.
Today, you had the opportunity to tell us.
You chose silence.

Someone made an excellent point -
Rap Monster evolved into Real Me (RM)
Now Joon you’re saying - Real Me isn’t you?
That your work is separate from the music when your entire career & life is music, production & performance for yourself, others & BTS… ?
Your logic is flawed
This is so fcked. Nugu groups barely get anything as is and now yall taking their fans reactions to them and giving it to more privileged groups to???. Like can the smaller group have anything at this point ?
Palestinian designer Yasmeen Mjalli reveals she was on the brink of closing her fashion brand, Nöl Collective, after Israeli customs destroyed one of their fabric shipments — until Olivia Rodrigo commissioned a dress to inaugurate her Daisy Chains festival.
“I was genuinely like, maybe we should stop, maybe this is our last effort. I was just so tired. [But Rodrigo’s commission] was like divine intervention. Obstacles are always going to be there, but if you can adapt you will be rewarded. I rise and I rise and I rise.”
