her HAVING to leave to be mistress somewhere else is not remarked upon as a cause of distress by nelly/the narration, until she gives voice to her longing ("exile and outcast"). but twenty years later her ghost is still knocking on the window, trying to "come home"
+ inheritance is a major theme in WH, but women's lack of legal rights to their childhood homes only emerges when there's no male heir (because one has to be found) - but catherine has a brother and nephew whose ownership of wuthering heights is never in question, and
@monequaque yeah, maybe. maybe this is naive of me but idk if they put in performance clauses. last i heard the option to renew in 2028 is on charles' side, i kinda assume that means they can't kick him out but idk i guess if they get really unhappy with each other anything goes
@monequaque yes "i'm not taking the blame" lol good for him! but i will say this if ferrari "moved mountains" for lh because he was too big an investment, and it took them a year, then they've just agreed to about an equal investment with charles, they will lit Have to do the same for him
@monequaque so im still willing to believe the update was "meant" to work with both discs, and they simply fucked up. as they do. not that's any better in my mind compared to willful endangerment
@monequaque idk i really don't think they meant to put the ci brake discs on both cars, or to publicise that hamilton got them. it's breach of contract with brembo no matter how they slice it, and i wouldn't be surprised if they take ferrari to court for it
@monequaque my occam's razor here is just that they're incompetent. it makes sense to me one of their innumerable stupid arrows would hit charles as well every year. even if someone believes they want to give hamilton -and him only- a winning car it's not like they've managed that either
but the thing is that she never could have been heathcliff's wife anymore than she wanted to be linton's. she wanted them to stay their child selves, forever
