We honestly DO NOT talk enough about how God will give you a completely ordinary day. No emergencies, no devastating phone calls, no chaos. Just peace.
That alone is a blessing.
Insecurity was enough to kick Jonathan out. The rules cannot be different because BAT is a Yoruba man. On every other metric, GEJ was 10x better than BAT.
This is not an invitation to a debate. If you don’t agree that’s your problem. I’m not trying to convince you.
Anytime I see Nigerians’ opinions on politics, I’m certain the country cannot survive. It’s a pity.
People who are tired of suffering don’t think the way many of you do.
They seek genuine solutions to their problems instead of deliberately muddling things up & self-sabotaging.
Begging you people to please look at the lives of your age mates outside the country and understand what this people have taken from us.
Nothing about how we’re living is ok. Absolutely nothing. It is not language or culture or alliance to tribesmen that will save us.
Wait a minute, why is Lindsay Clancy case not the reason why women shouldn't be parents, home makers, wives and primary child care providers. But rather why women shouldn't, vote, be president, be cEO, employed?
I do not fear the Lord as I ought, and yet His unfailing mercies continue to pursue this undeserving sinner.
There is nothing in me that commends me before God except that I am clothed in the perfect righteousness of Christ. Apart from Him, I have no plea and no merit of my own.
My works are not always born of pure motives, nor is my zeal always governed by a singular desire for your glory. Too often, my heart is divided, and I grieve that I fall so far short of what I ought to be.
Lord, I still need your refiner’s fire to cleanse my heart of self gratification and conform my life to your holy word, that I may faithfully herald your glory in my generation. Hear my prayer, O Father, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
The notion that the Christian is personally greater than the prophets of old is a needless proposition. At best, it breeds conceit; at worst, it encourages us to think more highly of ourselves than we ought. Scripture consistently warns against such thinking because God opposes the proud.
The proper way to understand the relationship between new covenant believers and the saints of old is covenantally. We enjoy the blessings of the New Covenant because Christ has accomplished the redemption that the prophets proclaimed from afar. We live in the fulfillment of what they anticipated.
As Peter tells us, the prophets “searched and inquired carefully” concerning the salvation that has now been revealed to us (1 Peter 1:10–12). The writer of Hebrews also declares that “God had provided something better for us” (Hebrews 11:40), not because we are better people, but because we live after the accomplishment of Christ’s redeeming work.
There is really no need to pit the saints of the Old Testament against believers under the New Covenant. No one has ever been saved apart from Christ in the final analysis. Abraham rejoiced that he would see the day of Christ and He saw it by faith and was glad (John 8:56).
The scriptures tells us that he looked forward to the promised seed through whom all the nations would be blessed and he sought “the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God”. We look back to the same Christ in whom Abraham hoped. His faith, like that of the prophets anticipated Christ’s coming; ours rests in His finished work. It is one gospel and one Lord of all.
The writings of the prophets remain God’s inspired Word for our instruction and growth in holiness. The apostles are clear: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16–17). When Paul wrote those words, the Old Testament Scriptures were principally in view. They are sacred because they are God’s own revelation, and apart from them we cannot rightly know Him or understand His redemptive plan.
Neither Christ nor His apostles ever spoke of the prophets with disdain or as though their ministry were inferior. Rather, they affirmed the unity and progressive unfolding of God’s revelation. Our Lord Himself declared, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” (Matthew 5:17).
To the Pharisees, He said, “You search the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me” (John 5:39). After His resurrection, He explained to some of his disciples who were troubled by his death by teaching from Moses and all the Prophets the things concerning himself in all the Scriptures (Luke 24:27).
For this reason, we should be careful not to speak of God’s prophets in a manner that diminishes the honor Jesus Himself bestowed upon them. To despise those whom God appointed to declare His Word is to dishonor the God who sent them. It is to set yourself as an adversary against God.
We must therefore be wary of teachings that exalt us beyond God’s own estimation of us. This has always been the oldest strategy of the Father of lies, the devil, to exchange the truth of God for a lie, turning our hearts away from humble dependence upon Him.
The Christian’s boast is not that he is greater than Isaiah, Jeremiah, Moses, or John the Baptist. Our boast is in Christ alone. That the God who made all things condescended in His incarnation to show great mercy to wretched sinners like us, dying the death of a slave should cause us to tremble in awe and reverence forever.
We possess greater covenant privileges because we live on this side of the cross, but those privileges magnify the grace of God, not the greatness of the recipient.
Grace to all of God’s people. May Christ’s wisdom and humility continually abide in our hearts.

Many of you Nigerians are so ridiculous. Sending your account numbers to terrorists because they are doing giveaway. You have zero shame and even fear. Blood money and you’re scrambling for your share. Embarrassing.
