In alignment with President ED Mnangagwa’s profound philosophy, “Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo,” the ZANU-PF Manicaland Provincial Leadership convened and resolved that it is our collective civic duty to facilitate the seamless repatriation of our compatriots currently residing in South Africa who wish to return home.
To give effect to this resolution, we have mobilized a fleet of 50 buses to transport our fellow citizens from the border, complemented by comprehensive logistical support to ensure their journey is comfortable and dignified.
Furthermore, as part of our hospitality, we will be providing complimentary meals courtesy of Chicken Slice to our returning compatriots. Beneficiaries are encouraged to contact the Chicken Slice management team directly via the contact numbers provided in the accompanying video.

DR PAUL TUNGWARARA LEADS HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE, DEPLOYS 50 BUSES TO BRING STRANDED MANICALAND RETURNEES HOME

Presidential Investment and Empowerment Advisor and ZANU-PF Central Committee Member Dr Paul Tungwarara has launched a major humanitarian intervention by arranging 50 buses to transport stranded Zimbabweans from Manicaland who are currently at Beitbridge Border Post after returning from South Africa following reported xenophobia-related violence.

Responding promptly to appeals from affected citizens, Dr Tungwarara moved to ensure that returnees are safely transported from the border to their respective districts across Manicaland Province.

To facilitate the operation, Dr Tungwarara assigned Dr Isau Mupfumi, a fellow ZANU-PF Central Committee member and proprietor of Gold Class Buses, to coordinate the deployment of the 50 buses that will undertake the transportation exercise.

Recognising the immediate needs of those stranded at the border, Dr Tungwarara also announced that all affected returnees should proceed to the nearest Chicken Slice outlet for meals, with all food expenses being met by him until the transport arrangements are completed.

The intervention follows consultations with the ZANU-PF leadership in Manicaland, including Minister of Defence and ZANU-PF National Chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, together with the provincial leadership. The consultations resulted in a coordinated plan to facilitate the safe return of affected residents to their homes.

The buses have been allocated to serve all ZANU-PF structures within Manicaland, including the Main Wing, the Women's League, the Youth League and the War Veterans League, ensuring comprehensive assistance to those in need.

ZANU-PF Manicaland Provincial Chairman Cde Tawanda Mukodza praised Dr Tungwarara's intervention, describing it as a compassionate and timely response that reflects a deep commitment to the welfare of Zimbabweans during a difficult time.

The initiative underscores the importance of coordinated humanitarian action, offering both immediate relief and safe transport to citizens returning home under challenging circumstances.
