@kortizart@TheGlazeProject Finally, you're right, they aren't professional staff at all and the project is protected with such venom that the most basic of challenging questions irrespective of wording, is met with silencing.
"Don't question our thing just use it and nod your head, good little sheep"
@kortizart@TheGlazeProject 3. There's no way of knowing that, however and so we are here, with hundreds, potentially thousands of artists putting blind faith in a "pinky promise we won't sell out" pledge that is functionally identical to that of aforementioned art sites in years past.
@kortizart@TheGlazeProject 2. I will also clarify that I am not claiming that the project actually goes and steals people's art. My statement definitely proves that there is currently no way to verify this because it is entirely closed source. They could well be doing everything legit!
@kortizart@TheGlazeProject You'll forgive me for exercising a certain distate and caution for projects and sites that obfuscate the details of what's going on with the work I pass through them
Since that's precisely what got us into this mess with sites like dA and Artstation.
@kortizart@TheGlazeProject This certainly would sound like a great idea and from what I hear, I was given an answer by one member which might have changed my opinion. Shame I can't read it.
@TheGlazeProject The staff of this project blocked me Before posting some kind of reply.
If good faith criticism in favour of artists having control over what they're putting their work through is suppressed like this, I think that tells you a lot about the staff's real intentions.
@TheGlazeProject When will this be open source? A closed source project like this does not guarantee artists protection from anything. For all we know, the program secretly swipes the artworks to send to AI training databases anyway.
@Carrot_breath@TheGlazeProject Because it's closed source, they would certainly have the ability to lie when your images are harvested and tell you "no you used it wrong guess it got scraped oh well not our fault"
It is absolute NPC behavior, in the purest sense, to not even comprehend basic hypotheticals like trying a different RPG, and it bleeds into making their current RPG a cesspool.
Do not let them into your group.
How would you feel if you played a different RPG?
-But I don't, I play DnD5e
Yes but what if you didn't?
-are you saying I don't want to? I've always played DnD5e
No, but imagine if you were to play another RPG, what would that feel like?
-I don't understand the question.
"oh but old-school DnD was just as simple!"
Yeah bro, B/X was a fucking boardgame. It's gloomhaven with comprehensible rules and a more reasonable pricetag. There is no RP, it's all G. it's not a comparison.
