Any other neurodivergent people feel like they underreact to things you’re “supposed” to have a huge emotional reaction to—death, breakups, terrible news—but then completely lose it over things everyone else thinks aren’t a big deal?
@Smidgelegion I can't believe there are people who really think that an average human's morals are delicate enough to be broken by a fanfiction on Ao3. "Ah yes, this BakuDeku noncon fanfiction will make me rape people in real life." Do they hear themselves.
@doctorbaixue Very often I catch myself not breathing / holding my breath when I'm hyperfocused. ADHD is debilitating because it can also make the automatic functions that usually work by themselves just stop functioning entirely. More often than not, I have to consciously focus on breathing.
It's proper weird to me how many neurotypcials claim ADHD isn't a disability because their friends don't struggle with basic tasks?
How do you know? Are you spying on them? Why do you think anyone would be honest with you?

"Listen to your body" is horrible fucking advice for
ADHD people.
My body wants dopamine, If I listened to my body, I would eat nothing but fucking cookies, ignore every message, start 12 new projects, finish none of them, quit every responsibility I've ever had, then cry because I'm fucking overwhelmed.
I cannot listen to my body.
My body is a fucking toddler with Wi-Fi and a debit card
