@JaniceWyattRoss We had to get our agendas signed nightly by parents in middle school and they were checked weekly. My mom signed it 3 weeks in advance (I did my HW) and I got after school detention and had to write a 5 paragraph essay on why agenda signing was important. 🙄

For 4th quarter, every time the class does something great, we pull a stick in Kerplunk. When all the marbles fall, we earn a treat. Today we did a virtual field trip to the zoo and aquarium! They did not believe me that it would be fun, but now they can’t get enough!

We read our @MoWillems inspired stories to Kindergartners as a celebration of our writing unit. They were so nervous! It went well, though! Titles included Don’t Let the Pigeon Watch TV and Don’t Let the Pigeon Get a Job! #writers

As 2nd graders, we were lucky to be special audience members for a private 6th grade clarinet performance and a 4th grade strings pirate musical story. Kids loved getting to see these!

Also on our Field Trip we did some exploratory stations to touch snake skin, find “amphibian eggs” in water, look at the life cycle of a frog, etc. we went on a hike to search for animals and enjoyed walking around a lot!

We had a blast on our Field Trip to Ellanor C. Lawrence Park @NOVA_Parks to learn about amphibians and reptiles. We pet the albino corn snake, Jellybean, and met some turtles! #teacherlife
