Seventh Edition is a Magic icon. From the old-school frames to the fancy foils and the hit-or-miss illustrations, this enormous core set remains a beloved mainstay of the game’s history and culture.

I've worked a 9-5 longer than most streamers and have now been lucky enough to stream full time for three years making 10x what I ever made from those jobs. In no conceivable way is streaming harder, because streaming is not a job, it is a privilege. You are not owed viewers or any money from streaming just because you go live. Streaming is a hobby that people do because they love to entertain people and some of them are lucky enough to get paid to do it. And once you are at that point streaming is only hard when you mentally make it hard on yourself chasing ever moving goal posts to fulfill your pursuit of "more" when you already have something most people would give anything for. We are over paid baby sitters doing our hobbies and sharing laughs with random people online and it's amazing. I get anxiety/depression bouts from my PTSD from time to time so I get that being in front of people is occasionally draining but when I am burnt out from it all and don't feel like talking to anyone ... I just don't stream and focus on other behind the scenes business work/creative projects and come back when I feel better. What 9-5 job allows you to do that? The people that are too afraid to take mental breaks are most likely clout obsessed emotionally devoid replicants that put all their value into their analytics while completely ignoring the generosity of their community that got them to that point. Or they think they gotta grind through it cause someone else is and they get ego'd then wonder why they feel like shit all the time. I know it's human nature to always want more and feel like you'd get left behind but I haven't "grinded through it" once in my career and take time off whenever the fuck I want and still have more money and fulfillment than I could have ever asked for. Streamers and e people in general really ought to try and be grateful for the insane opportunities we have been given to build cool ass communities, monetize our hobbies and get to know the people who are generous enough to tune in and support us and not bamboozle their community into feeling bad for them. This mental toll of not being able to clock out from streaming is always self imposed and you have to accept that maybe it's not for you or that you need time away from the computer. I know I sound like a boomer but it's so whack comparing soul sucking 9-5 life to playing video games and cracking jokes all day when you have full control over how much you are online. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go to work... *boots up world of warcraft*
@TheMechFrog In a similar vein, my roommate once very solemnly informed the cashier at a specialty shop they he "cannot afford a crippling cheese addiction." I understand, now.
Epic Systems makes the dominant electronic health record (EHR) system in America; if you're a doctor, chances are you're *required* to use it. For each hour a doctor spends with a patient, they spend *two* hours on clinically useless bureaucratic data-entry on an Epic EHR.

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting Nov & they're banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start: go to Settings >Data & Privacy > Manage shared info >Personalized shopping, & toggle that shit off
@MataraKan MechWarrior 5: Clans! Big and exciting if you like robots fighting! Don't need to have any prior interaction with the setting to enjoy it. https://t.co/UBYPWgGYYy
@IwriteOK The comically strong-but-dumb paladin in one of my games kept finding orphans in the module and subsequently arming them with crossbows he'd previously looted. It's kind of a vibe.
@Girl_Dm_ All your friends who come over will be opening it in Dark Souls slow motion, and utterly baffled by the fact that they can't close it afterwards
@hotforwizard I feel the Trek healing; just binged the last season of Discovery now that I'm home from the hospital. Maybe it's time to rewatch DS9 or Voyager, too...
This video traces a vignette of Hurloon Minotaur – Magic’s first mascot – and its uneven role in marketing the game through the early years.
