In Aetherion, the Daughters of the Threefold Church live within ordinary communities rather than separating themselves from them.
Their houses care for people while supporting themselves through practical work such as making clothing, keeping honey, and providing basic necessities. People buy from them partly because the goods are trusted and affordable, but also because it gives the community a way to return some of the care it receives.

Unpopular opinion:
Stop treating explicit sexual content as a selling point for books.
We already live in a culture saturated with pornography and instant sexual gratification. Writers do not need to imitate that attention economy by turning increasingly graphic content into another hook for readers.
Instead, write about the depths of love.
Friendship. Familial affection. Sacrificial love. Fidelity. The love that stays beside someone when there is nothing pleasurable to gain from staying.
We are starving those forms of love for attention, both in fiction and often in life, while trying to medicate the love we are lacking with lust masquerading as eros.
Give readers relationships worth longing for, not merely scenes designed to stimulate them.

@MrCasey62 The Queen Mother is fulfilling her role in the Davidic Kingdom, Jake. She doesnโt have authority over Jesus. She intercedes before the King, and her will is perfectly conformed to her Sonโs. See 1 Kings 2:19โ20.
Aetherion has ordinary fireworks, but some large cities also use Magicworks, magical projected displays that can fill the sky without carrying the same risk of setting crowded neighborhoods on fire.
If you were attending a festival there, which would you rather see: traditional fireworks or a magical display designed specifically for the city?

@Return_of_West@BishopJaxi Pope Leo has commented on both sides but your too busy listening to your preferred media. Also the church is above and older both political sides.
@lhallwriter my situation is a bit of an paradox because I like a busy cafe but use noise-cancelling earphones and listen to music. I have theorized the background movement as like a "white noise" for my eyes.
Dear Catholic and Protestant brothers and sisters, I would like to ask for a little help. Independent authors grow largely through word of mouth, and I am trying to find readers who still want slow-burn fantasy with moral depth, history, mystery, consequences, and victories that have to be earned.
What sets my world apart is that there is no single "big bad guy" whose defeat suddenly makes everything right. Evil takes many forms, from greed and corruption to persecution and the abuse of power. Likewise, goodness is not measured simply by defeating an enemy, but through mercy, sacrifice, duty, and the choices people make when doing what is right comes at a cost.
My world is deeply influenced by Catholic moral philosophy, but it is not intended to be a sermon; rather, it drives our unified points home. History matters, mysteries unfold gradually, and even the smallest decisions can carry consequences far beyond the characters who make them.
If this is the kind of fantasy you enjoy, I would be grateful for your support as I continue writing The Aetherion Archives. #CatholicX #Catholic #Christianity #CatholicTwitter
@DNicholsAuthor I have to go to my local coffee shop twice a week to write; I can't do it at home or anywhere else. Because of this, my coffee shop has been supporting me and will be shelving some of my books when I get finished, and even offered a book signing.
Sources for the numbers above:
โข Circana BookScan: romantasy and sports romance were experiencing triple-digit growth in 2025.
โข Publishers Weekly / Circana: adult fantasy print sales rose 85.2% in the first half of 2024, driven largely by romantasy.
โข Bowker / Publishers Weekly: U.S. self-published ISBN output rose from 2.46M titles in 2022 to 3.53M in 2025, including a 38.7% jump in 2025.
โข Amazon KDP requires disclosure when the actual text, images, or translations of a book are AI-generated.
Correlation is not causation. My concern is the convergence of those trends, not a claim that every romantasy author is using AI.
I hope writers begin to start valuing quality over quantity again.
The numbers are worth looking at. Romantasy was already gaining momentum before generative AI went mainstream; then adult fantasy sales surged 85.2% in the first half of 2024, driven largely by romantasy. By 2025, Circana was reporting triple-digit growth in romantasy.
At the same time, self-published ISBN output jumped from about 2.46 million books in 2022 to 3.53 million in 2025, with a 38.7% increase in 2025 alone.
That does not prove AI caused the romantasy boom.
What it does show is a market where an extremely hot genre, increasingly powerful text-generation tools, and unprecedented publishing volume now exist at the same time.
Amazon already requires authors to disclose AI-generated text on KDP. That policy exists for a reason.
My concern is what happens when a market rewards speed more than craft.
I don't want fantasy written simply to reach the next trope, reveal, romance beat, or payoff as quickly as possible. Let characters struggle. Let relationships develop. Let history matter. Let victory cost something.
Quality takes time, both to write and to read.
That is the kind of fantasy I want to contribute to.
