What a pleasure it’s been to see readers celebrate my work on Amazing Spider-Man over the years and show support for the cover I did with Paolo Rivera for the upcoming issue #1000!” I’m honored to work on yet another milestone issue for Spidey, and this one is especially big—so big that it has not one but two primary covers, one by me and one by my fellow Amazing Spider-Man artist, Pepe Larraz! I hope everyone enjoys the issue, it’s a going to be unforgettable!

Absolute Batman is what got me back into comics so I wanted to voice over a scene for fun!
It’s my own spin on this younger Bruce, while trying to give some lines a hint of that classic Kevin Conroy sound 🦇 I LOVE THIS SERIES IT GOES INSANELY HARD 🔥
I have to say @JrRomita and @PaoloMRivera did an amazing job on this cover.
Doing paint work on top of another artist work is such a general balance. Paolo did a great job retaining the unique character of Johnny Jr’s work wile also still feeling like his own work.
John Romita Jr is one of my favorite artist of all time and the fact that his cover was pulled is disgusting. I dont even know how you can hate that mans art because look at this
@soncharm@ChrisExpTheNews I'm like 70% sure he said as much, or at least stated that the reason he made Anakin so young in TPM is that a 9-year-old losing his mom hits way harder than a teenager/young adult. And he's right, Luke loses his family at 19/20 but he's old enough to work through it
@soncharm@ChrisExpTheNews Plus, if Anakin had blood relatives, he'd probably have gone after them after becoming Vader, whereas he knew Lars and Beru for like 3 days
@soncharm@ChrisExpTheNews Anakin's fall to the dark side doesn't really work if he has an extended family that he grew up with, Shmi being his only family, and having to go through losing her TWICE, as well as them being slaves, is the backbone of his descent
