@adamsilverhq I was just writing guidance about this today! Do you have tips on how to test this for voice command users? Especially for tool tips that appear when you hover over a button that has (different) text in?
@blindandb0ujee For what's its worth, I'm a leader, a few years ago we needed leaders, but there was so much to do I didn't have time to get back to an offer. I felt v bad but just couldn't do it. BUT it is important you feel welcome. I'm sure another group would love you. My new group would!
@emrcreates @ianhamilton_ Many places don't even have dedicated UX / designers. Sometimes they don't have anyone who knows about accessibility (even if they do have devs and designers). If I have time I contact them to let them know, otherwise if I can get it elsewhere, I get it elsewhere.
@SrtaDiCianni Assuming this is for guidance? Use the words the user needs to click on, or describe the icon if it's an icon they need to click on, would probably be my first suggestion. The user can then scan the screen for that word / icon.
@abbott567@CatherineRwork Yes, I can see how this can be useful. Both in starting that higher level conversation and honestly identifying where you are at. So long as it's not used as a choice, "yeah I'm happy being a two" and instead used to show what we must aspire to and how to get there.
@abbott567 This seems very accurate. Some projects within the same organisation can be at different levels but as you say if it isn't org wide, then the org as a whole is still at that lower level. We need strategies to move the whole org up, rather than rely the odd person on a project.
