@NoviceHuntress@WayWardOfHunter Sam tried to smile reassuringly at Jo. He knew that Dean could be rough. And really wished that his brother was more like him in that way.
He got into the car and sighed softly. The younger Winchester hoped it wasn't a trap, but just a typical case they could work.
@WayWardOfHunter it would hurt. Maybe you'll find something we haven't." He raised the tape, for the brothers to slip under to take a look. Sam bent over and went under it, being careful, due to his height.
@WayWardOfHunter Sam nodded at Dean's raised eyebrow.
"May we take a look, officer? Perhaps we could help." Sam smiled at the cop. It might turn out to be nothing, but who knew. It could be up the Winchesters' alley. Especially since there wasn't a weapon.
"Um, sure. I don't think --
@NoviceHuntress@WayWardOfHunter Sam followed the two out, glad it had been resolved. He wouldn't have liked to have argued any more. "He's right, Jo. We wouldn't forgive ourselves. I'm glad you're willing to let us work with you." He smiled softly at her, once outside the diner. It would be exciting.
@WayWardOfHunter@NoviceHuntress Sam finished up his meal and drink, then nodded in agreement with what Dean had said. They did care for her, like a sister.
He got up from his own chair, to follow them out, smiling at Jo. It was going to be a bit of a drive, but it wasn't new to the brothers.
@NoviceHuntress@WayWardOfHunter He looked at Dean seeing if he wanted to do that or not, leaving it up to the other to decide about staying at the motel she'd spoke of. "I'm game for both ideas. Scoping the area sounds like a definite task to do." Sam was for it. He just hoped that they could find something.
@NoviceHuntress@WayWardOfHunter Sam nodded again, as his expression was a serious one. "Definitely should for sure then. Want to leave first thing in the morning?" It sounded like a good idea. Not that Sam wanted anything to do with where Lucifer had been...but people were in jeopardy, so that took precedence.
@NoviceHuntress@WayWardOfHunter Sam overlooked the file's info, his expression becoming more serious, as he listened to the woman talk.
"We definitely should check it out. Right, Dean?" The younger Winchester looked at his brother, hoping that the earlier argument would be dropped, as a possible case --
@DaringHunterDW "Too true, who can say." He watched ahead as they got closer to their destination.
Once they arrived, he looked on with his brother. "Never know, you could be right. Might be something normal. It's been a while since we've experienced normalcy. Might be good for a change." --
@NoviceHuntress @DaringHunterDW This couldn't be a good thing. Not at all. More demons? Or something else, entirely? What could it be?
The male's expression was seriously and reflected his interest in the case the woman had discovered.
@NoviceHuntress @DaringHunterDW Seeing her pull the file out, sent a wave of relief. Dean didn't rile Jo any further, which was good.
Wait. Did she say Carthage? Not a memory he liked. "What do you mean? What's been going on there?"
Sam looked over at Dean, the rest of his food forgotten. --
