The new K St NE bike lanes connect 1st St to 2nd St NE, closing a gap in DC’s bike network. + Improved signal timing at 1st & K St NE & a shared bus platform helps traffic flow & 🚍 access. These projects build a safer, more connected DC. Visit https://t.co/FaFvUU0lDm for more.
@susantweetsNY@samstein Everyone saying this went to a storage company needs to do some basic research. It went to an LLC associated with APTIM which is literally an oil and gas services company.
@jason_paladino omg I am so sick of this story, SPR has always been managed by an M&O contract! Fluor’s contract expired! This is literally just how DOE operates! This is journalistic malpractice.
@samstein I understand the knee jerk reaction to see this move as nefarious or corrupt but seriously, a quick research sesh into how the Department of Energy actually operates would save everyone a lot of time!
@tysonbrody Lots of DOE components have M&O contracts lead by purpose built companies. See LANL, Pantex, etc. SPR used to be managed by “Fluor Federal Petroleum Operations” (a Fluor subsidiary) until their contract expired. All normal DOE activity, although it may look odd on the surface!
One of those nights that make you say H ST IS BACK BABY. Amazing dinner at new spot Lazizi, nightcap at @irregardlessdc, and then put a hold on TNC’s new book/caught the tail end of a comedy show at @solidstatedc. All within 2 blocks. Best neighborhood in the city.
Undesirable places all have high housing demand, impossible to get dinner reservations, rated best for parks, world class museums, great transit, diverse and engaged residents, right? Enjoy a beautiful day in DC & the DMV!
Guess they don’t eat. The majority of the food that feeds America is from our domestic food supply. Brought to you by immigrant workers - from the fields to the roads to the checkout counter.
