For me Macallister and Gravenberch are the both 2nd midfielder in a midfield 3. Liverpool need that first midfielder.

It’s hard to make them all co exist and ofc you want Wirtz more centrally, hence the overlapping FB.
They’ve been without a true 6 for years. They don’t come around often but it’s quite clear it’s necessary.
If you’re trying to platform an attack
You need just that. A platform

Liverpool have the same tactical problems as last season.

With Wirtz, Sboszlai you can only play two in midfield, not all 3 if you actually want stability.

Gravenberch needs a real 6 next to him with some positional discipline, it’s just a must if they want to do anything

They’ve got a lot of tactical quirks due to the philosophy of sign the player and think about where he fits later.
Thats something that doesn’t work these days, and their roles need slightly more planning
