@brunobarking@InspiringPhilos Yeah in context this is talking about the Old Testament,as they didn’t have the New Testament at the time,Also doesn’t teach sola scripture.
So where did Christ promise the Holy Spirit to be and guide? The church,the pillar and foundation of truth as Paul states.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan I probably couldn’t do him justice in trying to articulating on here,however I would encourage to have a convo with him since you know the prot postion well.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan I understand but jay has tackled the classical reformed view many times,and I find it convincing with the law of logic personally.
@wfsunole11 @robbswallace @BishopJaxi That’s pre supposing imputed righteousness is true within the text,Also God can’t lie ethically someone can’t be sinful and be righteous that would mean God isn’t telling the truth?
I can’t reconcile that.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan I am not trusting jay in that sense,however I think seeing his arguments against prot is convincing.
He debated redeemed zoomer and was completely one sided,and RZ is educated within reformed Theology.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan Unfortunately I’m out of my depth if we go there and don’t wanna lie on any behalf as I’m new to all this man,but hopefully I can discuss these topics to come when gained knowledge in them.
I would recommend talking to jay dyer on something like this,he knows way more than me😂
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan All I’m saying or implying is that if issues like these have been dogmatically formed already in the church then id say no,bare in mind I don’t know if it has on this issue,however I know that EO doesn’t submit to one saint on any issue like this but submits to synodical council.
@Yesaul_Ioan @PresbyInn Baptist.
with EO its there apostolic succession,tradition,theology,and many more factors,But I’ll be honest I’m very new in this journey so I have alot to learn.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan In the works aha,By the way,I don’t wanna come off antagonising or mean I wanna do all in Love and truth genuinely and it’s hard to come across that way on here unfortunately.
But I’m inquiring in It,I would say.
@PresbyInn @Yesaul_Ioan Read Alister McGraths book on the doctrine of justification,He’s a prot and admits that there was not such thing as the reformers taught that’s my argument.
It might have been in the works in early century’s but not popularised to later so I’ll give you that.
