The project provided two things that changed her life: clean water & agricultural training/inputs. She developed skills of growing fruits & vegetables for consumption & marketing. She mastered everything—from preparing the soil & managing seedbeds to harvest & market her produce.

AFD firmly believes in and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to sustainable natural resource management. This commitment is vital to protect pastoral and agro-pastoral communities from the devastating impacts of desertification and drought.
Action for Development held a forum in Moyale town, Borena zone, advocating for the pastoralists' rights to free access and use of land, & the right not to be displaced from their land.
It also urged the government to expand market infrastructure to facilitate cross-border trade.
The 28th General Assembly of AFD took place on 30/March 2024 in Addis Ababa.
Among other things, the General Assembly endorsed the annual and external audit reports for 2023, and the annual plan and budget for 2024.
