Source that TDTW glitched. Haven't heard that take yet. I'm not saying they had to catch it before it touched down, but it went on for 9 minutes with no warning. Also, I'm pretty sure there was a hook.
@afeb14@NWSDetroit At this point, you're expecting the NWS to have superpowers. No-one caught that tornado on radar as it was happening. TDTW glitched right as it took place; and KDTX only showed a bright green spot floating from Canton Twp to Livonia. Hindsight is 20/20, not foresight.

@Freedom22BB@NWSDetroit Except it didn't fly under the radar. The NWS said the damage lines up with weak circulation shown on the radar. Further, if it popped up between scans, they still should have issued a warning because radar updates are not 9 minutes apart during storms.
