I am very sure you just read a weird title. What has project management have to do with overcoming sin? What does spiritual issues have to do with management methodologies? My anchor scripture for this is Hebrew 12:14 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. This means we have not explored all opportunities and fought to the last drop of blood to overcome sin. As a believer, fighting sin is our chief goal. This is when God can really have some dealings with us. Are we saying that people who commit sin can't be forgiven? No. But we know they God desires we are free from it and we can't get into our full inheritance when active, enduring sin is part of our lives. This is why Jesus came. To destroy the works of the devil. In my Christian walk, I started taking fight against besetting sins seriously. I sat down and mapped what my greatest weaknesses were, how often I fell into the sins and what triggers were in place. I counted the cost for my soul, my destiny and people I love (God and others that would be affected by it.) I opened an excel sheet, mapped out the number of times I fell overtime, why i fell, what i did wrong, i mapped the triggers in place for these sins and mapped out my victory plan. 1. I prayed, studied the word and fasted harder 2. I started removing the triggers and environments that enabled these sins 3. I kept recording and learning new ways to win by renewing my mind more and more with a strong determination to overcome by the finished work of Christ on the cross. I never gave up when my numbers went bad. 4. My brain started learning new pathways and victory came in the mind by how I thought and acted. Daily falls changed to fews days, and weekly ones changed to months and on and on!! I look back on my mapping and keep smiling! Grace was teaching me to say no! I took that grace literally and never became ignorant of the devices of the devil! Your first serious walk with God has to be in the place of Holiness. For this is the will of God concerning us, even our sanctification.
