#NeverForget 🇺🇸
At the Opening Ceremony of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, an American flag from the World Trade Center on 9/11 was presented and the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team lit the cauldron.
Kobe Bryant worked like he had no talent, then he played like he believed he was the best player in the world. Prepare with humility; perform with confidence.

PARENTS: Don't build your happiness around your kid’s athletic performance. If you get in a bad mood because they played bad, take a break from the game. Your kid needs to have tough performances to learn, not have great performances to make you feel good.

Just FYI Athletes and parents: Your institutions don’t actually care what your SA experience is or what your EOY surveys say when your coach is in the “inner circle”. It’s the coaches who fight for their athletes that depts dislike and they use YOU to get rid of them. #TMYK
Admins: it’s that time of year. Evals and anonymous surveys. If you haven’t invested in understanding the challenges of your programs and where coaches need your support until right now, your next meeting with your coach to retain or fire is on you. Be better. @mollygrisham
INTEGRITY IS NOT SITUATIONAL
After a heated loss in '21-'22, soph. Jamal Shead cleaned up the mess his teammates caused. 2 years later he was Big 12 P.O.Y on nation's #1 team.

Kobe Bryant said, "You always want to outwork your potential. As hard as you believe you can work, you can work harder than that."
Hard Work is Undefeated.
Talent can you get you into many rooms, but it's your work ethic and attitude that keep you there.
“You have an obligation to Compete.”
This is what it is all about.
Competition to challenge yourself, to be better, and to strive to win.
And the great challenge in life is to learn to compete with yourself.
Every day.

PLAYERS: Making excuses in the off-season about why you aren't in the gym or at training sessions will lead to making excuses during your season as to why you are on the bench.
Happy Friday. If you didn’t get fired today with no explanation, get put under investigation or have parents send threat letters to your home you are doing better than 4 coaches who have contacted me in the last 48 hours. The more we share, the more we educate on the trend. @ncaa
