Hunt hard. Don’t hide from it.
At some point, average has to stop being good enough for you even when it’s good enough for everybody around you.
Nobody should have to beg you to pursue something you said you wanted.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

You say you want to reach another level.
Are you willing to be held to another standard?

You don’t get to keep all the habits you’re comfortable with and expect a different result.

Accept what improvement requires.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Your team gets better when your habits get better.
Take one thing that’s getting you beat and commit to correcting it.
Take one thing that helps you win and commit to doing it every time.
You want better results?
Become more consistent at doing what produces them.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Being a great player gives you attention.
What you do with it gives you impact.

KC Concepcion is using his platform to encourage kids who stutter.
He wants them to feel confident enough to speak up and pursue their goals.

The game gives him an audience.
His example gives that audience something to carry with them.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Most people want what success gives them.
Few want what success requires of them.

They want the reward without the sacrifice.
The recognition without the preparation.
The results without the daily discipline.

You don’t earn what you want.
You earn what you’re willing to work for.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Hard work doesn’t guarantee success.
It guarantees an opportunity.
Hard work gives you a chance to compete, a chance to improve, and a chance to be ready when the moment arrives.
Earn the opportunity before you ask for the result.

The best players don't need to constantly prove what they can do. They're too busy developing what they can't do yet.
The best players aren't concerned with looking capable.
They're committed to becoming more capable.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Great players take responsibility for their performance.
Great leaders take responsibility for their impact.
Individual success means very little if it doesn't contribute to team success.

Everybody wants a bigger role.
Not everybody is willing to master the one they have.

The best way to prepare for a bigger role is to be exceptional in the one you have.

Don't let your ambition for more become an excuse for doing less.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

The scoreboard tells you whether you won.
It doesn’t tell you whether you improved.
Great teams can celebrate the result without becoming blind to what still needs to get better.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Give your goals something more than good intentions.
 “Someday” makes no demands.
Today requires you to take action.
Give your goals something more than good intentions.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Stop wasting your mistakes
Every time you fall short, you have something to learn. Stop worrying about how failure makes you look.
Focus on how it can make you better.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Belief means doing the work before the results give you a reason to.
The game will test your belief before it rewards it.
You’ll put in work that doesn’t show up on the scoreboard. You’ll make progress that hasn’t turned into wins.
Keep showing up. Keep correcting mistakes. Keep competing.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Don’t wait for a bigger role to bring a bigger commitment.

Your role can change in one play. Your habits can’t.

The work you’ve done comes with you when you step into the game. So does the work you’ve avoided.

Make today’s preparation worthy of tomorrow’s responsibility.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Every player wants to be part of a winning team.
Not every player is willing to live by the standards it takes to build one.

Your standards aren’t defined by what you say.
They’re defined by what you do.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

“Be responsible for your own self determination, that’s accountability.”

Great players understand that being coached is an opportunity.
Getting better is a responsibility.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

You can't compete freely when you're constantly worried about the result.
The best competitors don't allow the scoreboard to dictate their effort, confidence, or focus.
They stay present, trust their work, and compete to their standard.

Coaching, when done right, is a cause not a career.
Impacting the scoreboard is important to keeping our job, but never the reason we do our job.

The goal is to win in games.
The mission is to help build people who win at life.

[The Winning Difference @thewinningdiff1]

Plenty of people have what it takes.
Few give what it takes.
That’s where the separation happens.
