@FreeRachel@kkdumez This was my immediate thought on reading this thread. I grew up with a world view that absolutely sees the Bible as a history book. And since it was an "infallible" history book, wouldn't it be the standard on which all history books are judged?
@kaylajohnsonatl@petefrompitt @DaveGerhart @johnnarae @Go_Go_Gomez22 @KindaScottish @emilykmay He tried to use me to talk to my friend who asked him to stop communicating with her. He kept it up with me and claimed victimhood of misunderstanding.
That type of entitlement is something I see in so many evangelical men. There's a serious Good Guy ™ complex here
I grew up very poor. I excelled in school and enjoyed much of it, but there were two particularly hard days, every year: the first day of school and the first day after Christmas break.
Those are the two days that poor kids feel the poorest.
Please teach your kids to be kind.
We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests except for PISA in HS and they outperform us every time. When we can’t give students more recess, physical activity & Arts then we don’t understand education.
To be clear, I'm always the last person to leave the party. Like, it's just me and the janitors and they're giving me "time to wrap it up" looks and I'm 100% not picking up on their vibes.
