I feel like Merdeka is that one celebration where firecrackers are not appropriate. I feel like it would trigger PTSD in surviving soldiers who fought during that time or just any soldiers now.

I don't remember which book I have read unless if its really impactful so I usually don't have any response to "have you read all of these what are they about" because I have probably read it because it is in the I-have-read-it section but I don't remember them at all.
i am still showing up to work and meetings and all the things in between though it would be nice if the world stops when it happened but that is impossible. and in the moving of time there will always be pockets of stillness that i am going to grief and cry and thats okay.
on the topic of grief. i like this sadness, not in the way that means that i like being sad. but in the way that i like to be able to feel this sadness, this grief.
and i think thats okay. its okay to be sad and its okay to grief. and its okay to want to be sad and its okay
and its okay to not want to talk about it. but i want to feel this that i am feeling, i want to grief.
this sadness doesn't mean that i am lying in bed with tears down my face or falling into a pit of nothingness frozen in time. time is still moving.
