ينما ينتظر السوريون، ولأول مرة في تاريخهم المعاصر، الإعلان عن تشكيل الحكومة التي يُتوقع أن ترى النور غدًا، ورغم أهمية هذا الحدث المفصلي، سيجد البعض فيه فرصة للانشغال بمهاجمة تلفزيون سوريا ومديره الدكتور حمزة المصطفى بسيل من الاتهامات والافتراءات.

وهذه مناسبة لتذكير الجميع بأن تلفزيون سوريا، كما كان منذ انطلاقه عام 2018، سيكون حاضرًا غدًا لنقل الإعلان عن الحكومة مباشرة، كما كان دائمًا صوت السوريين حين لم يبقَ لهم صوت، ومصدر أخبارهم، ومنصة حوارهم، ومنبرهم الحر.
وقف التلفزيون مع السوريين في كل محطات نضالهم، ملتزمًا بسياسة تحريرية تعكس تطلعاتهم وتقييمهم لأعداء ثورتهم، وتقف في صف قضيتهم العادلة. شاركهم أفراحهم وأتراحهم، وواكب تطلعاتهم، كما كان حاضرًا معهم في لحظات المجد، وصامدًا في سنوات خيبة التطبيع والتكالب. وكان أيضًا شاهدًا على الألم والصمود، والنجاح، وصولًا إلى لحظة الانتصار التاريخي، حيث كان أول وأكثر من غطى وتابع، وأول من أعلن هروب بشار الأسد، ومن أوائل الواصلين لدمشق الذين نقلوا لحظة التحرر التاريخية، وما زال مستمرًا في هذا الدور. لقد كان تلفزيون سوريا والسوريون معًا وسيظلون كذلك تحت شعار لا يغيب "حرية للأبد".
التلفزيون ليس مجرد شاشة وصفحات على منصات التواصل، بل مؤسسة إعلامية متكاملة، تكبر بمن فيها، وتزداد قوة بداعميها، وبكل الصادقين الواقفين إلى جانبها، سواء مدحًا أو نقدًا أو تقويمًا. وهو مؤمن بأن لا أحد فوق النقد، لكن لا أحد يقبل بالتشهير والاغتيال المعنوي.

لم يكن التلفزيون يومًا مجرد مكان عمل لمجموعة من الأفراد، بل كان بيتًا ومنبرًا احتضن الجميع، وعمل على دعمهم وتقويتهم، وواجه الافتراءات بالحقيقة، ودعا كل من لديه ادعاء أو شكوى إلى الاحتكام للقضاء، لأنه مؤسسة لايمكن أن تُجرّ إلى المهاترات.
واليوم، يعمل من داخل سوريا وخارجها، ومن كل المدن السورية، ولأجل سوريا، ليبقى اسمها حاضرًا في كل المحافل. ولهذا، كان التلفزيون محل تقدير وتكريم، ممن يدركون دوره، سواء من إدارة العمليات العسكرية حين غاب الآخرون عن سوريا، أو عندما منحه السيد الرئيس مقابلته الرسمية الوحيدة، تأكيدًا على أهميته ودوره الوطني.

تلفزيون سوريا لم يكن ليصل إلى ما وصل إليه لولا جمهوره المؤمن به، ولولا إيمان مؤسسيه برسالته الحقيقية، ولولا جهود العاملين فيه، وعلى رأسهم الدكتور حمزة المصطفى.

تغيب شمس اليوم، وستشرق شمس الغد على سوريا الوطن الحر، وعلى التلفزيون الذي سيبقى صوت السوريين ومنبرهم الدائم.

Why do they want the Palestinian Christians to remain invisible?

When the BAPTIST Hospital got bombed by Israeli Occupation air strikes on Oct. 17 , Western leaders tweeted about the “ARAB” hospital to avoid using the actual name “BAPTIST”.

When one of the oldest Greek Orthodox Churches in the world, Saint Porphyrius Church (800 years old building) was attacked in #Gaza on Oct. 19 and 17 civilians got killed, we saw no single Western Condemnation.

BUT WHY?

Because it interrupts the grand narrative and approach of “othering” the Palestinians while cherishing and considering Israel an extension of the Western civilization in the Middle East.

The “othering” of the Palestinians is nothing but the first step of a long and well studied “dehumanization” process that the Palestinians have been subjected to. Another example is characterizing this war as Israel-Hamas war; I.e Israel is only fighting the “terrorists”.

It is way easier to “other” Arab and Muslim Palestinians, but more complicated to do that for a Western audience when this “other” is a Christian inhabitant of the Holy Land, for it invokes many deep sentiments of at least familiarity in the Western imagination; both religious and secular.

Palestinian Christians do exist, and they do exist in Gaza, they have the right to be spoken about, and they have the right to live just like the rest of the Palestinian people.

What happened in Syria was an attempted coup by pro-Assad elements, supported by Iran. They launched a strong attack through ambushes, resulting in the killing and capture of hundreds of Syrian security forces who were stationed at their security points to maintain peace and stability in Latakia and Tartus. They then killed dozens of civilians who were in the streets and refused to join them.

Afterward, Syrians in other cities felt that their country was in danger and could fall again under the control of Iran and Assad's militias. Therefore, they went, either individually or collectively, to the Syrian coast to defend their land and the Syrian state, supporting the security forces in thwarting the coup.

During this chaos, some individuals and armed groups took advantage of the situation to kill and steal. The Syrian state announced that it would punish anyone who committed crimes against civilians and began to implement that.

Syria was facing a difficult coup attempt, but it was thwarted.

Thousands of Kurdish accounts and supporters of the defunct Assad regime are publishing fake videos from Iran and are working to mislead followers that these events took place on the Syrian coast.

Dirty campaigns in which cells of the defunct Assad regime, Hezbollah militias and Kurdish accounts cooperate, all of which aim only to stir up strife and chaos, but all their attempts have failed.
